    Vernon I. "Heavy" Blough, 70, Boswell RD 1, died Oct. 22, 1993 at
  Mercy Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born Nov. 25, 1922 in Conemaugh
  Township, son of Uriah and Maggie (Thomas) Blough.  Preceded in death
  by his parents; his wife, the former Esther N. Shaffer, July 29, 1993;
  and sisters Naomi Blough and Nellie Mae Cochran.  Brother of Morgan,
  married to Geneva Rhen and Irene, widow of Charles McKinley, both of
  Richland Township, Johnstown.  Brother-in-law of Grace, wife of Ralph
  Weaver, Boswell RD 1 and Richard Blaine Shaffer, married to Betty
  Good, Hollsopple RD 2.  Also survived by these nieces and nephews,
  Rusty Weaver, Cindy Gehlmann, Belinda Stein, James and Robert
  McKinley and Barbara Alt.  Member of Thomas Mennonite Church, Thomas
  Mills.  Retired truck driver for Zucco Construction Co.  Friends
  received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Saturday and until noon Sunday, at
  Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell.  Viewing also from 1
  p.m., until time of service at 2 p.m., Sunday at Thomas Mennonite
  Church, Rev. Homer Schrock, Donald Speigle and Aldus Wingard. 
  Interment Church Cemetery.
