Blucas, 88, Stoystown RD 1 (Ralphton), died Sept. 2, 1978 at St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis, Ind. Born June 28, 1890 in Poland, son of Martin and Angeline Blucas. Preceded in death by parents, wife, the former Katherine Kandelski, March 24, 1960; three children, Stanley, Staff Sergeant Michael, killed in action during World War II, and Victoria, also several brothers and one sister. Survived by these children: Josephine, widow of Henry Meholic, Central City RD 1; Catherine, wife of Lester Nedrow, Melcroft; John, married to the former Helen Mish, Ralphton; Joe, married to the former Dorothy Lapina, Levittown; Edward, married to the former Helen Eutin, Ralphton; Mary, wife of Michael Cook, Westland, Mich.; Walter, married to the former Alice Phillips, Boswell; Stella, wife of James Bauerle, Indianapolis, Ind.; Ted, married to the former Teresa Dedik, Levittown; Henry, Jenner Crossroads; Frances, wife of Michael Zellam, Hooversville, also daughter-in-law Mrs. Olga Blucas, Trenton, N.J., 45 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Brother of Martin, Poland. member of St. John's Catholic Church, Acosta; Polish-Roman Catholic Union of America; UMWA Local 1742; and Jenner Rod and Gun Club. He was a retired miner. Friends were received Monday evening and will be received until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. John's Church, the Rev. J. Joseph Strittmatter officiating. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ralphton. Daily American, September 5, 1978 [B1878]
