She was aged 74 years and was a native of Wellersburg, a daughter of Valentine and Marie (Baker) Lepley. Mr. and Mrs. Blume were residents of Meyersdale for many years. Mr. Blume was a carpenter and was employed by the Meyersdale Planing Mill for many years. Mrs. Blume is survived by her husband who is now about 80 years of age. They were a very highly respected couple and childless until they adopted a baby daughter of Joseph Mankameyer upon the death of her mother. No parents ever had a more worthy and devoted daughter than Emma Blume as she was known. After her marriage she had her aged foster parents move to York to make their home with her and her husband until the end of their days. Funeral Director J. L. Tressler of Meyersdale will bring Mrs. Blume's body to the home of Clifford Bittner at Pleasant Unity today (Thursday). Funeral services will be held in the White Oak Reformed Church, Friday, at 10 a.m., followed by interment in the White Oak Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, December 22, 1932
