Born Sept. 5, 1919, in Mamouth, Pa. He was the son of Harry Homer and Mary Ellen (Hayman) Blystone. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Patricia Keller; grandson, Ricky Most; brothers: Ray, Lee, Harry, Tom, Bill, Chuck and Tom; sisters: Eleanor Reed, Clara Bell Miller, Mary Ellen Munczenski, Francis Dye, Blanche Blystone and Murtle Blystone. Survived by wife, the former Helen Ruth Carns, to whom he was married for 36 years, and these children: Robert J. Blystone, married to the former Bridget Ritz, of Levittown, Pa.; Mrs. Roger (Ruth) Most of Berlin; Dwight R. Maule, married to the former Diane Shaffer, of Buffalo Mills; Fred E. Maule, married to the former Jane Pettitt, of Jennerstown; Mrs. R. Wayne (Nancy) Shumaker of Somerset, and Harry L. Blystone, married to the former Kathy Gower, of Rockwood. Also a sister, Mrs. Donald "Red" (Betty) Novy of Grindstone, Pa.; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Member of American Legion Post 0279, Rockwood. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Rev. Timothy E. Show officiating. Interment, Kingwood IOOF Cemetery. Contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association, Southwestern Pa. District, 400 Luray Ave., Johnstown, Pa., 15904.
