Bobak III, 59, Windber, passed away Nov. 28, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Nov. 26, 1947, in Windber. A son of Joseph A. Jr. and Justina (Tresnicky) Bobak. Preceded in death by father. Survived by mother, Mine 40; beloved wife of 37 years, Patricia (Letosky) Bobak; and sons, Joseph A. Bobak IV, married to the former Michelle Roman, Windber; and John A. Bobak, married to the former Shaunna Jones, Lancaster; also, granddaughter Noelle Bobak, who was his pride and joy. Also survived by brother Michael Bobak and wife Bernice, Richland Township; brother-in-law, John Letosky and wife Irene, Central City; sister-in-law Jane Letosky, New York; and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1965 graduate of Windber High School. A U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, having been decorated with the Purple Heart for being wounded in action and also the Bronze Star for valor. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown, Gauteer Division, with 32 years service. Member of Vietnam Veterans of America and the Windber American Legion. Also member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, and where vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek V.F., officiating. Committal at St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery, Windber, with military honors by Windber VFW.
