  MARTHA V. BOCKES
  
    Martha V. Bockes, 82, Somerset RD 5, died Dec. 16, 1980, in
  Somerset Community Hospital.
    She was born Dec. 10, 1898, in Somerset County, a daughter of Ira
  and Susan (Frickey) Johnson.  She was preceded in death by husband,
  John H. Bockes, two children and two sisters.  She is survived by
  these children:  Clova, wife of McGriff Weiss, Somerset; Evelyn
  Lafferty, Somerset RD 5; and Shirley, wife of Dillard Nicholson,
  Otto, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three
  great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by these brothers
  and sisters:  Ollie Burkholder, Hyndman; Mary Brant and Milton
  Johnson, both of Meyersdale RD 1; Clarence Johnson, Berlin; and one
  half-brother, John Schrock, Summit Mills.
    Friends were received in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where
  services were conducted with the Rev. John C. Cox officiating. 
  Interment, Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
