  BOCKES
  
    Otis O. Bockes, 87, of Berlin, died Jan. 15, 1993, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born April 13, 1905, in Berlin, son of the late Samuel and
  Salome (Christner) Bockes.  Survived by his wife the former Vella
  Miller, and these children:  Ronald O. married to the former Frances
  Martz of Berlin, Dolores E. of Meyersdale, granddaughter, Amanda Sue
  of Berlin.  Retired after 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service,
  former manager of the Blue Ridge Theater in Berlin, school bus driver
  for 13 years for Schrock Busing.  Life member of Holy Trinity Lutheran
  Church, Berlin, former president of Berlin Cemetery Association for 27
  years, member of Berlin Fire Company, AARP, Meyersdale Lodge 554
  F.&A.M., Pittsburgh Consistory, Jaffa Temple Shrine, Altoona,
  Pittsburgh Scottish Rite Club, U.S. Air Force Defense Command of the
  Civil Defense, National Association of Retired Federal Employees,
  Franklin Mint Collectors Society, Calhouns Collectors Society, Postal
  Commemorative Society, and Fleetwood First Day Cover Society.  Family
  will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner
  Funeral Home, Berlin.  Service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Holy
  Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, Rev. Melvin A. Kirk Jr., and Rev.
  Bryan G. Karchner.  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.  No flowers
  please.  Memorial contributions may be given to Berlin Cemetery
  Association Perpetual Care Fund, or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. 
  Masonic Service 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
