  CLARA GRACE BODEN
  
    Clara Grace Boden, 74, of Frostburg, Md., died Dec. 2, 1996 in
  Frostburg Village Nursing Home, where she resided for one month.
    She was born Feb. 6, 1922 in Meyersdale, a daughter of the late
  Nathan and Nora (Slayton) Shaffer.
    She was preceded in death by husbands: Eugene (Moon) Ash; William
  Brant; and Melvin Leroy Boden; and two daughters: Linda Brant and
  Dianna Bittinger.
    She is survived by a daughter, Arlene, wife of Joseph Crawford of
  Shaft, Md., with whom she resided; two sons: Eugene Ash, and wife
  Betty of Laurel Md.; and William Brant and wife, Shirley of
  Frostburg. Md.
    She is also survived by one brother, Lee Shaffer of Meyersdale and
  sister-in-law, Hulda Shaffer of Meyersdale; 12 grandchildren: Eugene,
  Pamela and David Ash; Joseph Crawford, Jr.; Terry Herman, Peggy
  Northcraft, David Crawford, William and Deanne Brant, Debbie and
  Donna Powell and Melvin Bittinger.
    Mrs. Boden is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren: Joseph,
  Casey and David Crawford; Mark and Mike Herman; Heather and Fallan
  D'antini; Anthony and Bradley  Brant and Denay Powell.
    Friends were received Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Leckemby Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, where services were held Thursday, Dec. 5, with Pastor
  Kenneth Korns officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
