    George W. Boden Jr., 86, Meyersdale, died Dec. 10, 2007, at his home. Born June 3,
  1921, in Garrett, he was the son of the late George W. and Laura (Hoover) Boden Sr. He
  was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Briskey) Boden; his companion, Dorcas Wilt;
  a stepdaughter, Linda VanMeter; two sisters, Evelyn Romesburg and Gladys Kadvekar; and
  two brothers, Joe and Norman Boden. Surviving are a son, Roger Boden and wife, Kathy
  (Butler), Meyersdale; one daughter, Dolly Sanner and husband, William, Rockwood; one
  stepson, Melvin E. Wilt and wife, Deanna (Hoover), Rockwood; one stepdaughter, Nancy Wilt
  and husband, Ken, Garrett; one brother, Bruce Boden, Glade Springs, Va.; three sisters,
  Hazel Clark, Maple Heights, Ohio; Edna Grace Bethel, Durant, Okla.; Gladys Snelson,
  Cumberland, Md.; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Boden was a
  U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Salisbury VFW. Friends will be
  received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon
  Highway, Salisbury, where a service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Jim Davis
  officiating. Interment New Germany Methodist Cemetery, Grantsville, Md. Expressions of
