    Melvin L. Boden, 68, Hyndman RD 1, died Aug. 17, 1989 in
  Martinsburg, W.Va. V.A. Center.  Born March 8, 1921 in Garrett, son
  of the late James and Mary Belle (Sheeler) Boden.  Survived by his
  widow, Clara Shaffer; two children: Melvin L. Jr., California; and
  Anna Marie Deck, Michigan; three stepchildren: Eugene Ash, Laurel,
  Md.; Alene Crawford, Shaft, Md.; and William Brant, Frostburg, Md.;
  four brothers: James and Paul, both of Garrett; Lloyd, Brownsville;
  and David, Sewickley; and four sisters: Anna May Carolus, Rockwood;
  Mary Belle Woolford, Ore.; Ruby F. Fager, Somerset; and Ethel M.
  Hileman, Coraopolis; 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. 
  Member of the Calvary Bible Baptist Church.  Friends will be received
  in the Leckemby Funeral Home Friday 7-9 p.m. where service will be
  held Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Korns officiating.
  Interment, Union Cemetery.
