  DONALD E. BODES
  
    Donald Eugene Bodes, 71, of Lexington, Ohio, died June 12, 1990 in
  Lexington Court Care center following a one-year illness.
    He was born Dec. 21, 1918 in Somerset County, a son of the late
  Ernest and Ada Christner.  He moved to Ohio 35 years ago.
    A World War II Army veteran, he served in the European Theatre.  He
  retired in 1980 after 26 years service with Artesian Industries,
  Mansfield, OH and was a member of Peoples Baptist Church, Mansfield,
  Ohio.
    He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws:  Donald P. and
  Linda Bodes, of Lexington, OH and Paul E. and Elaine Bodes, Fort
  Hood, TX; also a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Glenn Merritt,
  Mansfield, OH; two grandchildren.  Also survived by two sisters: 
  Mrs. Gordon Helen Moser, Bedford and Mrs. Harold Eleanor Gauntz, High
  Point, NC.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and
  Claude.
    Funeral services were held June 15 in Snyder Funeral Home,
  Mansfield, Ohio.  Interment, Colonial Memorial Garden near Lexington,
  OH.
