Bodes, 73, Meyersdale RD 1, died Aug. 20, 1984, at home. Born Dec. 15, 1910, in Elk Lick Township, son of the late Milton and Alice (Sipple) Bodes. Survived by wife, former Myrtle M. Johns; two sons, Thomas G., Frostburg RD 2; and Weldon S., Springs; four grandchildren; brother, Earl, Meyersdale RD 1; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Harris and Mrs. Ruth Bowser, both of West Salisbury. Retired farmer, coal miner and construction worker. Member of Laborers International Local No. 1058, Pittsburgh, and Home Aid Association of Salisbury American Legion and Salisbury VFW. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Mark J. Stewart officiating.
