Born Aug. 6, 1970 in Meyersdale, son of Weldon S. "Sandy" and Kathy E. (Ringler) Bodes, Springs. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harry E. Bodes and Lawrence E. "Ted" Ringler and an uncle, Barron Ringler. In addition to his parents, he is survived by wife, Betty Jo (Hutzel) Bodes, whom he married June 7, 1997; a brother, Jeffrey Bodes and wife Chaley, and nephew, Brandon Tyler Bodes, all of Salisbury; maternal grandmother, Marion (Twombly) Ringer, West Salisbury; paternal grandmother Mutrle (Johns) Bodes, Salisbury; father- and mother-in-law, Austin :Chip" and Betty (Hutzell) Hutzel, Salisbury, and sister-in-law, Anna Winters, Fairfax, Va. he was employed as a field service manager for Engineering Consulting Services, LTD, Frederick, Md. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury, Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department, Salisbury Area Ambulance Association, Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors and American Society of Civil Engineers. He was a 1988 graduate of Salisbury-Elk Lick High School and a 1993 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown, with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's United Church of Christ with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.
