  BODES
  
    Julia M. Bodes, 61 of Greencastle, Pa., died at 8:45 p.m. Monday,
  April 12, 1993, in the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, Md. 
  Born March 14, 1932, in Meyersdale, she was the daughter of Vendora
  (Schrock) Nicholson of Meyersdale and the late Alva Nicholson.  She
  retired in March after 31 years as title clerk and receptionist at
  Hicks Chevrolet, Greencastle.  She was a member of Grace United
  Church of Christ in Greencastle and charter member of the
  Greencastle-Antrim Lioness Club.  Also member of the Greencastle
  Loyal Daughters.  She graduated from the Salisbury Elk-Lick High
  School in Salisbury.  She and her husband were married August 23,
  1953.  Surviving family in addition to her mother are husband, Earl
  R. Bodes Jr.; daughter, Pamela Bodes Scudder, Mechanicsburg; sisters
  Esther Duppstadt and Joyce Snelson, both of Meyersdale; brother,
  Alva Nicholson Jr., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; grandson, Tyler Bodes
  Scudder, and granddaughter, Lauren Marie Scudder, both of
  Mechanicsburg.  Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday from
  Grace United Church of Christ, 136 E. Baltimore St., Greencastle,
  with Rev. Ralph S. Geiman and Dr. Thomas Herrold officiating.  Burial
  will be at the convenience of the family in Cedar Hill Cemetery,
  Greencastle.  There will be no viewing.  The family requests the
  omission of flowers.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Grace
  United Church of Christ Church, 136 E. Baltimore St. Greencastle, PA
  17225.  Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son
  Funeral Home Greencastle.
