  BODES
  
    William H. Bodes, 73, of Garrett, died Oct. 29, 1998, at Memorial
  Medical Center, Johnstown.  Born July 13, 1925, in Elk Lick Township,
  son of May (Zimmerman) Bodes of Akron, Ohio, and the late William H.
  Bodes Sr.  Preceded in death by a brother, John Teeters.  Survived by
  his wife of 52 years, the former Betty Baker, and these children: 
  Judy, married to R. Timothy Fritz; Kerry, married to former Shirley
  Heckler, and Susan, married to Guy Imhoff, all of Garrett;
  grandchildren:  Robert and Jennifer Fritz, Andrew and Kelsey Bodes,
  Miranda and Kyle Imhoff.  Brother of Edna Spaugy of Mogadore, Ohio;
  and Doris Deist of Akron, Ohio.  World War II Army veteran.  Retired
  from Somerset State Hospital and U.S. Postal Service, where he was a
  rural mail carrier for Garrett and Rockwood.  member of Mt. Tabor
  Lutheran Church, Garrett, Somerset American Legion and the National
  Rural Letter Carriers Association.  Family will receive friends from
  2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Glenn P. Foster
  officiating.  Interment, Highland Cemetery, Garrett.  memorial
  contributions may be given to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, P.O. Box
  175, Garrett, Pa., 15542, or the Leukemia Society, 2 Gateway
  Center-13 North, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15222.
