Bodziak, 88, Stonycreek Street, Boswell, died Aug. 15, 2004, at Somerset Hospital. Born Sept. 1, 1915, in Boswell, son of George and Catherine (Ryniak) Bodziak. Preceded in death by parents, sisters, Mary Murray and Blanche Steve and brother, Stanley. Survived by wife of 65 years, the former Catherine Rubinski; children, the Rev. Father Charles F., pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Cassandra, and St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Wilmore, Sr. Helen Therese, OSF, Bernadine Franciscan, Dearborn, Mich., and John G., Somerset; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and brother, Walter, Hollsopple. United in marriage Feb. 4, 1939. Lifelong member of the former St. Stanislaus Church, now part of All Saints Catholic Parish, where he was a former custodian and served as the faithful caretaker at St. Stanislaus Cemetery for approximately 50 years. Also a member of the UMWA and the PNA and life member of the Jenner Rod and Gun Club. Retired area coal miner with approximately 42 years of service. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Church, Boswell. His son the Rev. Father Charles F. Bodziak, celebrant, with concelebrating priests officiating. Committal, St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
