  BOGER
  
    Robert E. Boger, 73, of Grantsville, Md., formerly of Meyersdale,
  died Jan. 4, 1998, in Grantsville.  Born March 11, 1924, in
  Meyersdale.  A son of the late Homer P. and Sadie S. (Swearman)
  Boger.  Also preceded in death by a brother, Donald D. Boger, in
  1934.  Survived by a brother, Homer S. Boger, Meyersdale, and a
  sister, Kathleen B. Shockey, Bridgeport, W.Va.; two nieces:  Karen
  McIver and Kathleen Schoffstall; three nephews:  William H. Boger,
  Thomas A. Boger, and Robert H. Shockey.  Graduate of Pennsylvania
  State University.  Retired from the U.S. Army and was awarded the
  Purple Heart and Bronze Star for action in the South Pacific during
  World War II.  Friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the
  Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11
  a.m. Wednesday, with Pastor Thomas Homer officiating.  Interment, Hays
  Church Cemetery.
