    Daisybelle Boitnott, 88, Rockwood, died  Aug. 24, 2008, at St. Thomas
  Hospital,  Nashville, Tenn. Born Oct. 23, 1919, in Champion, daughter of John
  and  Etta (Reese) Putnam. Preceded in death  by parents; also adopted parents
  who raised her from the age of 2, Walter and Daisy  Berkebile; and sister,
  Leona Wirick.  Survived by husband, the Rev. James  Christopher Boitnott, to
  whom she was  married 64 years; children, James L.  Boitnott, Somerset; Mrs.
  Dennis (Patricia)  Belfield, Nashville; and Mrs. Scott (Gaynel)  Jensen, Plano,
  Texas; grandchildren,  Jennifer Belfield, San Diego; Benjamin  Belfield,
  Nashville; Matthew Jensen, Denton, Texas; and Kelly Jensen, Nashville;
  great-grandson, Jaxson Lanz; brothers, Dr. Paul Berkebile and wife, Audrey,
  Pittsburgh; and Ron Brooks, Anderson, Ind. A 1937 graduate of Rockwood High
  School, also a graduate of Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, W.Va. She was a
  member of the Somerset Church of the Brethren where she was very active. Also
  the Red Hat Society. Friends will be received from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. 
  Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral  Home, Somerset, and one hour prior  to
  the service which will be conducted  at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Somerset Church
  of the Brethren, Somerset. The Rev. Mark Bendes and the Rev.  Ron Beachley
  officiating. Interment  Mount Nebo Cemetery. Contributions  may be made to the
  Somerset Church  of the Brethren, 606 Berlin Plank Road, Somerset, PA 15501.
