Born May 15, 1925, in Scottdale, the son of John Walter and Mary Elizabeth (Slanina) Bokros. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife, the former Abigail Stoll, to whom he was married 58 years; brother and sister, Madeline and Thomas Bokros; special aunt, Margaret Slanina-Faith; sister- in-law, Anna Kooser; brothers-in-law, James Stolland and Vince Chlebowski; and also wonderful nieces and nephews who have helped James and his wife Abby. A 1943 graduate of Scottdale High School and U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Worked as a butcher for Acme Markets for many years. Also a member of American Legion Post 181 and Laurel Ridge Sportsman's Club. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset. The Rev.
