Born Oct. 2, 1917 in Dunbar, W. Va., a son of the late John A. and Marjorie (Gill) Bolden. Also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Kenneth. Survived by his wife, the former Marylois (Keegan) Bolden, and these children: John A., III, of Mechanicsburg; Michael J., Robert E. and Mrs. Marilyn J. Price, all of Meyersdale; and Charles W., Fort Hood, Texas; 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. A brother of Eugene Bolden, LaVale, Md.; and Mrs. Marjorie Jacob, Somerset. Former owner of Bolden Plumbing and Heating Company, Meyersdale; and retired foreman of Meyersdale Municipal Authority; Veteran U.S. Army, World War II. Member American Legion Post 112 and life member Knights of Columbus, Cumberland. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, Meyersdale. The Rev. James Bunn officiating. Interment, Church Cemetery.
