Bolden, 60, of 340 Washington Street, Cumberland, Maryland, died August 6, 1984 at his residence. Born in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late John Albert Bolden and Marjorie (Gill) Bolden. He was employed as a printer by the Times and Alleganian Company for 28 years. A graduate of Meyersdale High School in 1941, he served in the Army in World War II and formerly worked for the Meyersdale Republican and Somerset American newspapers. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church; Local 244, International Typographical Union and the American Legion. He is survived by his widow, the former Mary Agnes McKenzie; two sons, Patrick T. Bolden, Duncannon; Richard O. Boldon, Jr., Pittsburgh; two brothers, John Albert Bolden II, Meyersdale; Eugene G. Bolden, LaVale, Maryland; one sister, Mrs. Marjorie Jacob, Somerset and two grandchildren. Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian wake service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The Republic, August 9, 1984 [B2002]
