Boose, 98, of Meyersdale Manor, formerly of Somerset, passed on June 17, 2001, at the manor. Born Sept. 11, 1902, in Summit Township, daughter of the late Milton and Emma (Vought) Fike. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Ellis C. Boose and sisters, Viola Grace Conn, Mary Peck, Edith Lucille Bloom and Margaret Fike. Survived by nieces, Anna Peck of Pascagoula, Miss., and Audrey Slagle of Ridley Park, and nephew; John C. Peck of Fort Hill. She was a retired administrative aide and a member of the Somerset Church of the Brethren. She was also a member of the First Society of Farm Women. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Revs. Mark Bendes and Roger Forry officiating.
