Boose, 70, of Antonia Street, Johnstown, died July 18, 1980, at Mercy Hospital, Johnstown. She was born April 21, 1910, in Somerset, and was the daughter of the late Howard R. and Lottie (Good) Boose. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy and Anna Mary. She is survived by two brothers, Howard R. Jr. of Arlington, Va., and Attorney Robert I. of Somerset. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset, and retired social worker from the Johnstown V.A. office. She was a graduate of Ohio State in 1933 and had done graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania. She had served with the American Red Cross during World War II and was a former county supervisor for the Department of Welfare in Somerset County. Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Union Cemetery, Somerset, with the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating, under the direction of the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. There will be no viewing. Friends will be received at the Robert I. Boose residence, 376 High St., Somerset, from 4-7 p.m. Sunday. Family suggests that memorials be made to favorite charity.
