   Lillias B. "Buckey" (Barilar) Boose, 81, Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Somerset, died April
  18, 2007, at the Oaks of Carolina. Born May 17, 1925, in Punxsutawney, daughter of John
  and Margaret (Wardrop) Barilar. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 50 years,
  Attorney Robert I. Boose, March 20, 2000; and brother, Jack Barilar. Survived by
  children, Maggie, married to Rob Norris, Waxhaw, N.C.; Attorney Robert I. Boose II, High
  Street, Somerset, and his friend Gloria Miller, West Union Street, Somerset; and Mary
  Boose, Cary, N.C.; grandchildren, R.W. Norris, Waxhaw, N.C.; and Robbie and Alec Boose,
  both of Somerset; sister, Marie Craig, Lansing, Mich.; sister-in-law, Doris Barilar,
  Lititz; and brother-in-law, Dr. George P. Gourley, Somerset. A 1943 graduate of
  Punxsutawney High School and a 1946 honors graduate of former Indiana State Teachers
  College, now Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Taught business at Somerset High School
  from 1946 to 1955. Served on the board of directors of Mary S. Biesecker Public Library,
  Somerset, for 20 years, and was named director emeritus in 1990. Past president and
  active member of Somerset Welfare League for 35 years. Member of Trinity Evangelical
  Lutheran Church, Somerset, where she served in numerous capacities. "Buckey," an avid
  reader, also enjoyed playing bridge and working in her flower garden. Family would like
  to give special thanks to the staffs of Woodland Terrace Assisted Living, the Oaks of
  Carolina and United Hospice for their care and support. No viewing or visitation.
  Memorial service in Somerset to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers,
  memorials may be given to Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation, One Intrepid
  Square, West 46th St. and 12th Ave., New York, N.Y. 10036; Mary S. Biesecker Library, 230
  S. Rosina Ave., Somerset, PA 15501; or a local hospice of your choice. Arrangements in
  charge of Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Boswell.

    Lillias B. "Buckey" (Barilar) Boose, 81, Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Somerset, died
  April 18, 2007. Friends and family are invited to a graveside service 3 p.m. Thursday,
  May 24, at Husband Cemetery, Somerset. The Rev. James Meyers officiating. In lieu of
