Born in Philadelphia on Nov. 4, 1929 he was the son of Kathleen Lochrie Booz McIlvaine and the late Donald Vastine Booz. Mr. Booz attended Lafayette College and was commissioned in the U.S. Army in 1951, serving as a first lieutenant in the Korean War. He was subsequently assigned to NATO forces in Germany while attached to the U.S. Army Third Armored Division based at Ft. Knox. He also served tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff School in Fort Leavenworth and the Army War College in Carlisle Barracks, Pa., retiring as a lieutenant colonel in 1972. He is survived by his wife, Irmgarde, and his two sons, Donald V. Booz III and Thomas H. Booz. He is also survived by his mother, Kathleen Lochrie Booz McIlvaine of Topton, Pa.; his sister, Kathleen Booz Gibbs of Somerset, and his two brothers, David L. Booz of Kutztown, Pa., and William H.
