Born Nov. 5, 1905 in Maderia, a son of the late John and Agnes (Rok) Borek. Preceded in death by parents; three sisters and four brothers. He resided with a nephew, John Chronowski of Quecreek. He is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Acosta; and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Number 1801, Somerset. Retired employee of Saxman Coal and Coke Co. and a member of U.M.W.A. Local 1742, Jenners. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. today (Monday) in the Hoffman Building, 138 East Main St., Somerset, where rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7 p.m. Funeral mass Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. John's Roman Catholic Church, Acosta, with the Rev. Benjamin Dykas officiating. Interment, St. Stanislaus Church Cemetery, Boswell, in charge of the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Daily American, March 28, 1983 [B2045]
