  BORING
  
    Alverda Grace Boring, 68, Friedens, died Sept. 18, 1997 in Somerset
  Hospital as a result of a fall in her home.  Born Nov. 18, 1929 in
  Somerset, a daughter of the late John and Lettie (Knox) Colflesh. 
  She was raised by her grandfather, Mahlon Knox.  Preceded in death by
  a son, Michael Meyers, and sister, Leora Pyle.  Survived by husband,
  the Rev. Walter Boring and these children:  Roy Meyers Jr., Georgiana
  Bieniasz, Sharon Zerfoss and Wanda Szymanski, all of Somerset; and
  Doug Meyers, Friedens; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren;
  one brother, Chester Colflesh, Ursina.  Member of Somerset Church of
  God, retired from former Somerset State Hospital where she was
  employed as a practical nurse.  Friends will be received from 7-9
  p.m. Saturday and 1-2 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the Robert H. Halverson
  Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. in
  Somerset Church of God, with the Rev. M.D. Herring officiating.
  Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
