Born Aug. 2, 1936 in Eldridge, W. Va., son of Lonnie and Grace (Danbury) Bostic. Preceded in death by parents; sisters: Anna Ruth Olson and Mildred Louise Weaver; and a nephew, Lyle Joseph Oiler. Survived by his wife of 40 years, the former Dorothy Jane Sleek and these children: Brain Douglas, married to the former Emily Kathleen McSweeney, Stevensville, Md.; and Cynthia Deann, married to Robert Horton, Shady Side, Md.; grandchildren: Anna Kathleen and Brian Douglas Bostic Jr., and Alexander Douglas and Aaron Michael Horton. Brother of Dorothy Ann, married to James Bowser, Goshen, Ind. Retired newspaper pressman for the Wall Street Journal. Korean Conflict Marine veteran. Member of Berlin American Legion Post 445 and G.C.I.U Local 31. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 until service at 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner funeral Home, Stoystown, Rev. Gary W. Anderson. Graveside military service prior to interment at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, Md., at 1 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
