He is preceded in death by his father, Blake A. "Buzz" Bothell Jr. and infant brother, Charles. He is survived by his fiancee, Marianne McDaniel, San Angelo; mother, Edna Bothell, San Angelo; sons, Lance Bothell and wife, Lora, Richmond, Texas; and Dallas Bothell and wife, Jennifer, San Angelo; daughter, Heather Irwin and husband, Larry, League City, Texas; granddaughters, Ashley and Jenna Bothell, Richmond; Kyrie and Morgan Irwin, League City; and Kasara and Kobie Bothell, San Angelo; and former wife, Sandy Tuton, League City. Roger is also survived by his brother, F. Eugene Bothell and wife Patty, Windsor. Roger retired from GTE as manager - Network Operations in 1993 with 28 years of service. He then returned to work at GTE for another two years in 1997-99 as a Support Administrator for COEI. He was a member of the Sipesville, Volunteer Fire Department and the Boswell Jaycees. He was a little league baseball coach and umpire for many years. His hobbies were reading, traveling and watching the San Angelo Colts baseball team. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo.
