Along with her husband of 53 years, John, she is survived by her four children: Carol Berghen and husband Saul of San Francisco, Calif., John T. Bouch and wife, Denise of Everett, Linda McKenna and husband, Tom, Mt. Airy, Md., and Bruce Bouch and wife, Debbie of Finksburg, Md.; and six grandchildren. She moved to Lewes with her loving husband in 1997. She was a member of Lewes Presbyterian Church. She began her life as Shirley Ann Baldwin in Philadelphia. At the age of 16, she met John at Somerset High School. They were married in 1952. Moving to Breezewood in 1958, she became a bookkeeper for her husband's business. She also became a rural mail carrier at the Breezewood Post Office, as well as, the owner and operator of Wyndhaven Kennels, where she raised her beloved Shelties. Following her passion of sewing, she began a partnership in Shirley's Fabrics in Bedford. In 1988, she moved to Eldersburg, Md., where she continued to work as a rural mail carrier. In 1997, she and her husband retired to Lewes, Del. Arrangements were made by Parsell Funeral Home in Lewes, Del., with a graveside service at the Lewes Presbyterian Church Cemetery, officiated by Dr. Harry W. Hughes, pastor.
