BOUCHER Dr. Samuel Allen Boucher, 84, delegate to the Maryland General Assembly, died Dec. 15th at his home in Barton, Md., after an illness of one week. Dr. Boucher was born June 8, 1861. He was the son of Isah and Lucretia Compton Boucher and was born in Grantsville, Md. He practiced medicine in Barton for 54 years after graduating from the Baltimore College of Physicians and Surgeons, now the University of Maryland Medical School. He was a member of the Allegany-Garrett County Medical Society; of Allegany Masonic Lodge, of Barton; Garfield Chapter, Royal Arch Masons, Lonaconing; Antioch Commandery, Knights Templar, Cumberland; Ali Ghan Temple of the Mystic Shrine, Cumberland, and was a patron of Barton Lodge of the Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are his wife, Lucretia (Wilson) Boucher and a brother, Dr. Charles Boucher, of New Kensington, Pa. Funeral services were conducted at his residence, Monday, Dec. 17, by Rev. Stanley Jewell, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, and Rev. L. J. Moore, pastor of the Methodist Church. Members of Allegany Masonic Lodge of Barton served as pallbearers. Antioch Commandery, Knights Templar, of Cumberland, acted as escort. Interment was in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow. Dr. Boucher was an uncle of Mrs. Myra Boucher Keller of Grantsville, who attended his funeral. Meyersdale Republican, December 27, 1945
