  BRUCE A. BOWER
  
    Bruce A. Bower, 82, of 441 Braddock Street, LaVale, Md., died
  Saturday, Dec. 6, 1986, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
    Born in Hyndman, on Dec. 21, 1903, he was the son of the late
  William and Emma (Emerick) Bower.  He was also preceded in death by
  his wife, Martha (Blocher) Bower, in 1983.
    Retired from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company in 1968, he was a
  member of Park Place United Methodist Church, where he served on the
  board of trustees.
    Surviving are three sons:  Donald E. Bower and Glenn Bower, both of
  LaVale; Wayne L. Bower, Aspen, Colo.; two sisters:  Mrs. Ethel Mazer,
  Strasburg, Va.; Mrs. Dorothy Aman, Cumberland, Md.; one brother,
  Orlando "Bud" Bower, Hyndman; 11 grandchildren and six
  great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary.
