  BOWER
  
    Dane W. Bower, 75, of Confluence, died Jan. 13, 2001 at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Dec. 25, 1925 in Confluence, a son of the late
  Russell and Dorothy Bower Friend.  Survived by his wife, Edith K.
  (Spittal) Bower and a son, Paul of Confluence.  He was a US Navy
  veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific.  He was
  a member of Confluence VFW Post 7250, Ursina American Legion Post
  946, Somerset Lodge 358 F.&A.M. and Trinity Lutheran Church of
  Confluence.  He retired as a branch manager from National Bank of
  Western Pennsylvania, Confluence office.  Friends will be received
  from 2-9 p.m. Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where
  services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. James Smiley
  officiating.  Interment, Addison Cemetery.
