  CHRIST J. BOWERS
  
    Christ J. Bowers, 71, Boynton, died in Sacred Heart Hospital,
  Cumberland, Dec. 4.  Born Jan. 15, 1896, in Greenville Township, he
  was a son of Christ and Margaret (Gross) Bowers.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Emma Stanton, and five
  children:  Harry L., Boynton; Homer C., Salisbury RD 1; Miss Alverta
  Mae Bowers, Flushing, L. I., N.Y.; Mrs. Dorothy Gaughan, Reading; and
  Mrs. Gladys Brown, Nyack, N.Y.
    He was a brother of Oscar and Lewis Bowers, both of Harrisburg;
  Mrs. Ida Hochard, Salisbury; and Mrs. Annie Baker, Meyersdale.
    He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Boynton, where
  service was conducted by the pastor, Rev. Edward Ferguson, on
  Wednesday afternoon.  Interment was made in Salisbury IOOF cemetery,
  under the direction of Thomas Funeral Home.
