CHRISTIAN BOWERS

  Christian Bowers, aged 75 years, died Tuesday evening at 5 o'clock at his home 
in Boynton, following a brief illness of pneumonia.  He was twice married, his 
first wife preceded him to the grave a number of years ago.  These children 
survive to the first union: Mrs. Mollie Schardt, of Salisbury; Mrs. Anna 
Harding, of Meyersdale; Mrs. Agnes Coughenour, of Polo, Ia.  He is survived by 
his second wife, Mrs. Margaret Kline, an adopted son, Aden Blocher, of 
Salisbury, and these children to the second union:  Mrs. Mary DeLozier, of 
Salisbury; Mrs. Ida Hochard and Christian Bowers, Jr., both of Boynton; Henry 
Bowers, of Maryland; Oscar and Louis Bowers, both of Boynton.  Fifty-eight 
grandchildren also survive.
  The body had been prepared for burial by Undertaker W. C. Price, of 
Meyersdale.  Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning at 10 o'clock in 
the Pentecostal Church at Boynton.  Interment will be in the Boynton Cemetery.
