  MRS. CHRIST J. BOWERS
  
    Mrs. Emma M. Bowers, 78, of Boynton died March 3, 1979 in Salisbury.
    Born in Boynton May 13, 1900, she was a daughter of the late James
  and Margaret (Huggins) Stanton.  She was preceded in death by her
  husband, Christ J. Bowers.
    Mrs. Bowers was a member of the Boynton Assembly of God Church.
    She is survived by two sons, Harry Bowers, Boynton; Homer Bowers,
  Salisbury; three daughters, Mrs. Alverta Bowers, Miami, Fla.; Mrs.
  Dorothy Gaughan, Reading; and Mrs. Gladys M. Brown, Nyack, N.Y.; a
  sister, Mrs. Cora Bittner, Boynton, a niece whom Mrs. Bowers, reared,
  Mrs. Grace Siler, Boynton, 10 grandchildren and nine great
  grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Boynton Assembly of God where services
  were conducted with Rev. Douglas Paglia officiating.  Interment,
  Salisbury Cemetery.
