    Michael William Bowers, 35, of Meyersdale, died Thursday, Jan. 8,
  1998, at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, as a
  result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.  Born March 12,
  1962, in Washington, D.C., a son of Charles E. and Billie Jean
  (Yutzy) Bowers, Salisbury.  Survived by his wife, Jeannie (Murray)
  Bowers; 2 sons, Michael W. and Andrew C. Bowers; a daughter,
  Stephanie L. Bowers, and a stepdaughter, Jeannie L. Hutzell, all of
  Meyersdale; a sister, Tina Brant, Berlin.  Employed as corrections
  officer at State Correctional Institution, Greene County.  Was staff
  sergeant in Pennsylvania National Guard, Co. C, 1-103rd Armored
  Friedens.  Member of Boynton Church of God.  Friends will be received
  from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Newman Funeral
  Home, 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md., where services will be
  conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Deborah Hoover
  officiating.  Interment, Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
