    Ralph D. Bowers, 47, Confluence, died Sept. 14, 2008, at his home. Born Aug.
  8, 1961, in Connellsville. He is survived by his mother, Frances Bowers,
  Confluence; son, David J. Flickinger; daughter, Lisa Marie Flickinger;
  brothers, Joseph Nicholson, Confluence; and Brian Nicholson, Addison. A member
  of the Confluence Volunteer Fire Department and an avid fisherman. He enjoyed
  visiting with the campers at the outflow area of the Youghiogheny Dam in
  Confluence and made many lasting friendships there. Friends will be received
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence,
  where a service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. Samuel McClintock officiating.
  Interment Maple Summit Cemetery.
