  BOWERS
  
  Samantha Alvena Bowers, 11, of Rockwood died July 24, 2002, as a
  result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident, in the state
  of New York.  Her mother, Hazel June Bowers, also died in the
  accident.  She was born July 24, 1991 in Latrobe, Pa.  She is the
  daughter of Charles Bowers, Jr. and the late Hazel June (Hall)
  Bowers.  She is also preceded in death by her sister Lesa June Bowers
  in 1997.  In addition to her father she is survived by three
  brothers:  Larry James Bowers; Jeremiah Blaze Bowers and William
  David Bowers, all at home; four sisters:  Alisha Kimberly Bowers at
  home; Heather Bowers of Rockwood; Mary Shroyer and her husband Larry
  of Mill Run and Martha Wyona King of Rockwood and one niece, Sierra
  June Shroyer.  Samantha attended the Kingwood Elementary School.  She
  was very active in youth sports and the Girl Scouts.  She was a member
  of the New Centerville Church of God.  Friends will be received from 2
  to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Inc.,
  Route 711, Melcroft.  Additional visitation will take place on Sunday
  in the New Centerville Church of God from noon until 1 p.m., the hour
  of services in the church with Rev. Timothy Show officiating. 
  Interment will follow in the Imel Cemetery, Springfield Township.
