  BOWERS
  
  Walter R. Bowers, 62, of Somerset RD 6, died Jan. 24, 1985, at his
  residence.  Born Jan. 23, 1923, in Johnstown, son of the late Roy and
  Hannah (Young) Bowers.  Survived by five cousins.  He was a member of
  the First United Methodist Church, Somerset, a veteran of World War
  II and a retired director of the Liquor Control Board of the state of
  Michigan.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the
  Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where services will be conducted
  Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Elias Kessler officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
