  BOWLBY
  
  Mrs. Carrie Bowlby, 89, formerly of 421 West Broadway, Rockwood, died
  Friday evening, Oct. 17, 1986, at Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin,
  following a three-year illness.  She was born in New Centerville,
  Jan. 7, 1897, the daughter of Allen and Otivia (Nicklow)
  Forespring.  She was a lifelong resident of the Rockwood area.  She
  was a member of the Rockwood Church of the Brethren.  Survivors
  include two sons, Willard F. Bowlby of Rockwood; and Floyd E. Bowlby
  of Stanford, Conn.; one daughter, Mrs. Dean (Betty) Hostetler of
  Somerset; one brother, Charles Forespring of Jennerstown; nine
  grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in
  death by her husband, Charles E. Bowlby; and one son, Jay Bowlby. 
  Friends will be received at the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Francis
  Brady supervising, 933 Broadway, Rockwood, on Sunday from 11 a.m.
  until 9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held from the funeral home on
  Monday with her pastor, the Rev. Jay Christner, officiating.  Burial
  will follow at the Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
