"Bud" Bowlby, 87, of Somerset, died Dec. 9, 2002 at Somerset Hospital. Born May 1, 1915 in Brothersvalley Township, he is the son of the late Harmer Moore and Carrie Idela (Hauger) Bowlby. Survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Maxine Zimmerman, children: Charles Wesley Bowlby of Meriden, Conn., Mrs. Robert (Deanna Georgia) Fisher of Hollsopple, Mrs. Raymond (Sally Lee) Mule of Nashville, Tenn., and Robert A. Bowlby of Somerset. Thirteen grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Brother of Ray Dwight Bowlby of Somerset and Fern Romain Dixon of Silva, N.C. Member of First Christian Church, Rotary Club of Somerset, Somerset Sportsman Club, 55 and & Over Speeders, Somerset Historical Society, Somerset Lodge IOOF. A 1933 graduate of Somerset High School and retired Field Representative for Agway. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Daniel F. Nicksich officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
