BOWLBY William Lee Bowlby, 40, of Rockwood, died Aug. 20, 1981, in the Somerset Community Hospital. He was born Jan. 18, 1941, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a son of the late George R. and Alzada (Bills) Bowlby. He is survived by his mother, Alzada Bowlby of Rockwood; his wife, Joy (Weimer) Bowlby of Rockwood; his wife, Joy (Weimer) Bowlby of Rockwood; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Tammy) Gindlesperger of Berlin; Mrs. Gregory (Tracey) Custer of Rockwood; and Miss Tanya Jean at home; three brothers, Ray, and Jack both of Rockwood; and James of Vermont; two sisters, Mrs. Shirley Hearn of Bedford; and Mrs. Linda Maust of Rockwood; and one granddaughter, Candice Custer of Rockwood. He was preceded in death by his father, George R. Bowlby, and a twin infant granddaughter, Kristen Custer, July 22, 1980. His death terminates a marriage union of 22 years. He was previously employed by PBS Coal Company, but at time of death he owned and operated Bills Garage in Rockwood. Friends were received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, where services were conducted. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. The Republic, August 27, 1981 [B2135]
