Bowlin, 78, Confluence, died March 11, 2007, at his home. Born Jan. 23, 1929, in Confluence, a son of Clyde and Ida (Reckner) Bowlin. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Charles; and sisters, Pearl Lancaster, Ruth Thomas, Leona Collins, Louise Close and Olive Sleek. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Neva Turney Bowlin; son, Terry Bowlin, and wife, Kay; daughters, Sharon Leasure and Brenda Burow and husband, Ray, all of Confluence; grandchildren, Amy Shaffer, and husband, Pat; Jeremy Leasure and wife, Donna; Josh Bowlin and wife, Jen; Holly Lee and husband, David; and Jesse Burow and fiancee, Lareina King; great-grandchildren, J.J. Leasure, Evan and Jacob Shaffer, and Emma Bowlin; and his faithful dog, Chico. Mr. Bowlin was a member of the Millwrights local 2235, Pittsburgh; the NRA and Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church. He was treasurer of Johnson Chapel Cemetery Association and attended the Sugar loaf Union Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who worked hard to provide for his family. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Wednesday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence. The Rev. David Lee officiating. Interment in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
