  BOWLIN
  
    Claude M. Bowlin, 73, of Baltimore, Md., formerly of Somerset, died
  Aug. 18, 1997, at home,  Son of the late Arthur and Minnie Bowlin of
  Somerset.  Preceded in death by beloved wife, Dorothy C. Bowlin, in
  1996; brother, J. Earl (Barney) Bowlin of Columbus, Ohio, and
  sisters, Mabel Hopwell of Charleston, W.Va., and Margaret Sandusky of
  Somerset.  Survived by devoted children, John P. Bowlin and Joyce
  Shanholtz of Baltimore; two grandchildren, Dianne and Dana
  Shanholtz.  Loving brother of James S. Bowlin, Somerset; Mary Clark,
  St. Petersburg, Fla., and Florence Arnold, Harrisburg.  Past building
  inspector for City of Baltimore.  Viewing and funeral services were
  held at Connelly Funeral Home of Essex.  Interment, Gardens of Faith
  Cemetery.
