Born Oct. 15, 1915, in Johnstown, the son of Arthur Collins and Minnie M. (Meyers) Bowlin. Preceded in death by parents; brothers: J. Earl and Claude Bowlin and sisters: Margaret Sandusky and Mabel Hopwood. Survived by wife, the former Mary Emily Lamb, to whom he was married for 53 years; children: Thomas E. Bowlin, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Roland J. (Kristi) Kimmel, Somerset; grandchildren: Brian S. Kimmel, married to the former Kimberly Shields, Somerset; Eric, Amanda, and Heath Bowlin; Molly, Andrew and Amy Kimmel. Brother of Mrs. Mary Clark, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. Florence Arnold, Harrisburg. Member of Grace United Methodist Church. 1933 graduate of Somerset High School. U.S. AAF veteran of World War II. Manager of the former Musser Bakery. Retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service with 21 years of service. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church, Somerset, with the Rev. Charles F. Olson officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
