ALICE E. BOWMAN

  Mrs. Alice E. Bowman, wife of Clinton E. Bowman, Bedford RD 1, died in the 
Everett hospital on Monday, March 21.  Mrs. Bowman was born in Salisbury on June 
20, 1883, a daughter of Margaret (Wiland) and Andrew Robertson.  Most of her 
life was spent in Salisbury and Elk Lick Township, until about ten years ago 
when the family moved to Somerset, and about three years ago to Bedford.
  In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bowman is survived by one son, Harry, at 
home; by two brothers, John Robertson, Cresaptown, Md., and Andrew Robertson, 
Buffalo Mills, and by two sisters; Mrs. Sarah Shirey of Akron, O., and Miss 
Grace Robertson, a traveling evangelist.
  Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, at the home near 
Bedford with the Rev. James Beacon, her pastor, officiating.  Interment was made 
in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, Salisbury in charge of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas.
