  BOWMAN
  
    Edna Caroline Bowman, 94, of Meyersdale, died July 25, 1997, at
  Meyersdale Manor Nursing Home.  Born June 5, 1903, in Elk Lick
  Township, she was a daughter of the late Abraham and Sarah (Newman)
  Shoemaker.  Also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Garfield
  Bowman, in 1963; a son, Jack G. Bowman, in 1971, and 10 brothers and
  sisters.  Survivors include a daughter, Mona Lee Garlitz, Meyersdale,
  4 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  Member of Salisbury
  Church of the Brethren and Queen Esther Bible Class.  Friends were
  received at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, where services
  will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. John Nalley
  officiating.  Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy
  may be directed to the 700 Club.
