  BOWMAN
  
  Elwood C. "Sandy" Bowman, 64, Boswell RD 3, died April 9, 1984, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Oct. 12, 1919, in Gray, a son of
  Joel E. and Mary A. (Stern) Bowman.  Preceded in death by parents,
  and two sisters, Dolly Enos and Thelma Myers.  Survived by widow, the
  former Mary E. Trout, and these children:  Shirley A., wife of Doyle
  Frampton, Boswell RD 3; Jack E., Somerset; William C., married to the
  former Christina Hegadus, Friedens RD 2; Richard E., Boswell RD 2;
  Bryan E., at home; also eight grandchildren.  Brother of Harry, Fall
  City, Neb.; and Roy, Breezewood.  Member of LOOM Lodge 48,
  Johnstown.  Retired employee of Jenner Township, operated lawn mower
  repair business for many years.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m.
  Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227
  Allegheny St., Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m.
  Thursday, the Rev. Chauncey J. Ickes and the Rev. Max DeArmey
  officiating.  Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
