She was the eldest daughter of John Mort and his first wife, the late Emma Thomas Mort, who was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Amos Thomas, of Elk Lick Township. John Mort, father of the deceased, is a resident of Salisbury. Mrs. Bowman was the wife of the late Arthur Bowman, who was killed in an automobile wreck about three years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Bowman were residents of Kenmore, Ohio. They are survived by three children, namely, Ralph, aged 18 years; Ethel, aged 15; Clyde, aged 11, all at home. Mrs. Bowman is also survived by her father, two half-brothers and two half-sisters, as follows: Ernest Mort, of Salisbury; Harry Mort of Acosta; Edith, wife of Lawrence Durst, Cumberland, Md., Irene, wife of Daniel Durst, of Elk Lick Township. The funeral of Mrs. Bowman was held Feb. 3, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Mr. McLaughlin, pastor some years ago of the Salisbury M.E. Church. Meyersdale Republican, February 20, 1930
